Attention all First and Second Year GEG Students

Meet the Geography Student Society (GSS) at the University of Guelph. This is a group of students, from a variety of academic backgrounds, with a shared interest in geography. We meet on Wednesdays at 5:45pm for discussions, game nights, social hours, academic help, and more. You do not have to have ANY background knowledge in geography, or be a student of the Department of Geography, Environment, and Geomatics, to attend.

Some Good News from the Hutt - SSHRC grants

GEG had three projects funded in the most recent SSHRC Insight Development Grant Competition, results announced yesterday:
  • Prof. Anna Stanley (Infrastructure, private investment and the political economy of settler colonialism in Canada).
  • Prof. Eric Nost (Digital Conservation Practices and Perspectives: Insights from North America)
  • Prof. Jennifer Silver (Access and equity: Strengthening the foundations for sustainable fisheries and prosperous coastal communities)
