SOME GOOD NEWS GEG!
Three students from our 4th-year W20 “Applied Geomatics” (GEOG*4480) course have been recognized by ESRI Canada’s through their 2020 GIS scholarships and awards program. Harry Seely was awarded the ESRI GIS Scholarship, and Gabrielle Goldhar and Katsiaryna Shestak have been awarded the ESRI Higher Education GIS Award. Harry, Gabrielle and Katsiaryna carried out a group project entitled "Using a GIS Multi-Criteria Evaluation Model to Locate Potential New Conservation Areas and Wildlife Corridors for Grizzly Bears in Southwestern British Columbia” in the 2020 winter semester. Their project report can be found alongside other GEOG*4480 projects at https://geg.uoguelph.ca/undergraduate-research-projects. Congratulations to all three of you!
