Towards Precision Conservation in Agricultural Watersheds
This project, led by PhD student Md Bodrud-Doza and supervised by Professor Wanhong Yang, focuses on generating data-driven recommendations for Best Management Practices (BMPs) to enhance watershed health and promote sustainable farming operations. The research applies the USDA ARS’ Agricultural Conservation Planning Framework (ACPF) to the Medway Creek Watershed, aiming to bridge proven U.S. methods with Ontario's conservation goals. As an undergraduate research assistant, Mckenna Thompson documented the journey from the lab to the field with an ArcGIS StoryMap to support the findings of ongoing watershed modelling research.
